Departing from Houston at 7:00 p.m. makes connections from anywhere in the U.S. and Canada very convenient. Mexicana Airlines offers NON-STOP Miami to Merida 2-3 times weekly. (Some travelers may find it convenient to make a connection in Mexico City rather than Houston or Miami.) Flying into CancunRegular flights or charters from the U.S. and Canada into Cancun are plentiful. Flights from Cancun to Merida are not as readily available but both Mayair and Mexicana do offer NON-STOP flights into Merida. Shuttle from Cancun to MeridaEven though the distance is about 200 miles from Cancun to Merida, it is a fast, straight, and safe shot across the peninsula on the autopista toll highway.
