Flying into Merida

Continental Airlines offers NON-STOP flights from Houston to Merida - most days of the week. Departing from Houston at 7:00 p.m. makes connections from anywhere in the U.S. and Canada very convenient.

Mexicana Airlines offers NON-STOP Miami to Merida 2-3 times weekly.

(Some travelers may find it convenient to make a connection in Mexico City rather than Houston or Miami.)

Flying into Cancun

Regular flights or charters from the U.S. and Canada into Cancun are plentiful. Flights from Cancun to Merida are not as readily available but both Mayair and Mexicana do offer NON-STOP flights into Merida.

Shuttle from Cancun to Merida

Even though the distance is about 200 miles from Cancun to Merida, it is a fast, straight, and safe shot across the peninsula on the autopista toll highway. While your American-Canadian team does not meet you in Cancun, we do have an arrangement with a reliable and trustworthy travel company – whose English-speaking drivers greet you at the Cancun airport and safely shuttle you to Merida. We will be happy to factor this service into your package.

Driving from Cancun to Merida

If you rent a car, the autopista (excellent, well-maintained toll road costs about 30 dollars), although not very scenic, is again fast with little or no traffic.

1st Class Bus from Cancun to Merida

Luxurious and incredibly spacious 1st class buses run from the downtown Cancun bus terminal NON-STOP to Merida’s Altabrisa medical and hotel area as well as other locations. Be sure to take an ADOGL or ADO PLATINUM bus.
